My daughter has dual citizenship - Canadian (because she was born here) and British because her parents were born in Scotland.

She has a British passport and is planning on going on vacation soon to the US.

Is her British passport and birth certificate enough for her to visit the US and return to Canada?

Any help would be so much appreciated.

  1. I know she will re-enter Canada without a problem...especially if she has the birth certificate as well.  Now I do think she will have to pay the $6 for the green visa waiver because she is using a UK passport.

  2. My husband is British and has dual nationality British and Canadian.. so of course there is no problem for her to come back to Canada anytime.. she could stay in Uk for years and still come to Canada .. once she has dual citizenship Canada is her home as well as Britain.... but if she goes to USA and wants to stay for longer than 3 months she needs a visa for USA because Canada and UK is both Commonweath.. but USA isn't so she can go without a visa for 3 months but if she stays longer she has to apply first...xx
