  1. To my knowledge, Mexico does not share or compare criminal records with Canada like the U.S. does.  It appears very unlikely they will ever find out.  Dress conservatively, hide any tattoos, act sober and be polite.  You should have no problems.  Just make sure you do not stop in the U.S. on your way to or from Mexico.

  2. Actually I'd think it's harder for a mexican-american like me to enter Mexico because of their backwards laws about filling out that idiotic grey form IN SPANISH about why I'm entering Mexico even though I live here.

Mexico is still so many years far away from having digitalized criminal records of mexicans that they would never know what you did or care. If you have your Canadian passport, that's all you'll need to enter the country.

I don't know about hiding tattoos or dress conservatively, this isn't the American embassy or anything. I see people dress like scruffs and enter the country easily every time I travel.

Chances are nobody will know or really care.
