Canadian cost of goods VS U.S. Why are we being so unfairly overcharged for something made on this continent?

It pisses me off to no end that a 14 - 18% difference is allowed to exist for just everyday things. You can't say location, as parts of Canada are geographically below 16 States. If it's not outright greed, then what the h**l is it?

  1. Benefits, mostly.  In Canada, healthcare is financed out of tax revenues, so it costs nothing out of pocket and about half as much per person as it does in the U.S.


  2. Could be taxes or regulations that only exist in one country.

    Also it could be the local economy.  Even within the US there are large variations in price depending on which city you're buying it in.
