Does anyone know if it is possible to sow the Canadian grass seed in the fall and let it over-winter for Spring germination? I'm in the Michigan Upper Peninsula, by the way.

  1. We are rapidly approaching the perfect time to plant that fall lawn; September is ideal.  But consider the information below, from the link that follows.

"For a lawn that moves from sun to shade, consider a mix that blends bluegrass, perennial ryegrass and some fescues. WARNING: Just say 'no' to mixes that incorporate cheap ANNUAL ryegrass instead, like "Canada Green"; they're junk."

    Happy Yardening!
