Canadian law for Public Intoxication is criminal law ?

Question

I got violation ticket in calgary for public intoxication, no arrest happened. There is 115 cdn dollars as Voluntary Payment to plead guilty. What I want to know is that there will be some record or not, how can I get erase record or no record.

no its just a misdemeanor... check ff "guilty" and pay your ticket and your done.  No criminal record.     You can fight the ticket if you wish but either way theirs no criminal record.

The only way you get a criminal record for drunkeness is behind the wheel of a car,.

     Wow that was a bored cop.I can't say i'm surprised though,our law and order is appalling in this country.Did you at least do something stupid like make a scene to get your moneys worth?
