Does anyone know if you can still go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls without a passport? I did about 4-5 years ago with my family, and now I want to go back with my fiance. The U.S. side is nowhere near as beautiful. I don't want to have to get a passport right now, and I don't want to drive all the way there if you need one to go over.

  1. Absolutely, you can.  Passports are NOT needed for LAND travel to and from Canada.  you do need a photo I.D. and a proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.  see site below and read carefully.  have a great trip...the falls are fantastic.

  2. Hey...

You don't need a passport unless you're from outside the U.S. To come across you're going to need your birth certificate and government issued ID... your drivers license is perfect... have a good trip :)

  3. If you are a US citizen all you need is your government issued photo ID such as a driver's license and your birth certificate to prove citizenship.  By summer 2009 you will most likely need a passport, and you need a passport now if you are flying.  Best of luck and enjoy the falls.
