  1. I think it would be a good experience for Toronto residents, If I was closer to Toronto I would go. But, the Saskatchewan Rough Riders Rule baby!!!

  2. i think it sucks

  3. That is SOOOOOO cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  4. It's a great PR stunt for the Bills, and a good way of marketing the game to Canadians. However, as long as Los Angeles still does not have an NFL team, then certainly Toronto would not get one first...

  5. a flordia team playing in canada in decemeber sounds mildly entertaining

  6. It will be hugely expensive, and the chances will be pretty good that the defences will score more points on interceptions, fumbles and blocked kicks than the offences score. But it may be a chance to see whether Miami can match that undefeated season with a winless season, which is not my idea of a good reason to fly to Toronto and pay hundreds of dollars to sit in the upper deck at a snoozefest

  7. Argo's are smart to jump on this and help sell tickets.

Price for the tickets is stupid.  For the amount of money they want for 4 seats, you could get a limo and go to Buffalo and watch a regular season game from decent seats and pay for all your food and booze.  I won't be attending the game.

  8. The NFL doesn't belong in Canada.

  9. I think that people shouldn't read too much into it, and judging by the other responses they aren't reading to much into it.  To summarize:

    - These games will generate some additional revenue in merchandise sales and because of the high ticket prices (although Rogers Centre is a relatively small stadium).

    - These games may drive up the value of the Bills franchise, but I'm sure that every prospective owner knows that a permanent Toronto franchise would only be a "last resort" for the NFL.

    - I'm an NFL fan, but I wouldn't pay to see the Bills play the Dolphins, unless they could turn back time and I could see Kelly vs Marino.

  10. Who needs it?  The NFL game is totally different, there are no teams in Canada, and it just an attempt to suck some good Canadian dollars right out of one of our CFL cities.  The NFL will never actually put a team in Toronto when there are still US markets without teams.

  11. I have mixed emotions about it.  I'm a Hamilton Tiger-Cats season ticket holder and love going to CFL games.  That being said, I'm more of an overall football fan meaning I also love the NFL and have gone to NFL games in the past and enjoy it.  I love all gridiron football but do prefer, for the most part, the Canadian game but in the end, it's all football.

Now the Bills in Toronto?  Well, right now football doesn't get the priority in the press compared with hockey, baseball or basketball, it is usually 4th on the sports online headlines in the newspapers since the Argonauts don't play in what is considered the big 4 major leagues.  As a football fan, I do think the presence of the NFL will help football overall in Toronto, which is good, I want football getting more headlines and since the Argo's have an excellent following but not enough to pack the 53,000 Rogers Centre, football is relegated down the list, which is unfortunate but the case in Toronto.  But I feel sad that the Bills have to go to such lengths to increase their fan base.  I know Ralph Wilson is getting old and his family doesn't want the Bills so I think Ralph is looking to do anything to see that the team can get a higher price on the open market.  And playing in Toronto may do that for the Bills but I just hope in the end it doesn't mean the end of the Bills in Buffalo, I've been to Bills' games in Buffalo and the Bills have great fans there, it would be a shame for the city to lose the team to Toronto or anywhere.  The Toronto group of Larry Tannenbaum and Ted Rogers have a lot of money and are hungry for an NFL team and they do have a lot of power and I think Ralph likes this group.  What more can I say, we'll see if Toronto is an NFL town, I don't think it's a great football town but could be an NFL town, just like it's not a real hockey town but a great Leafs town.

  12. Its nice to know that nfl football is comming to toronto.  Anyone trying to judge weather the nfl is better or worse than the cfl , and anyone looking to see what effect if any the nff will have on the cfl are, silly and will be disapointed, respectively.

Silly cause the nfl is for the tv viewing audience who have watched it and know what may happen, and disapointed cause the cfl season will be over and the fans will not be able to see any direct effects of detracting or adding to the wonderful quality of the cfl.

    Go Argos Go!

    Go Packers Go!

Lets not forget about some of the new supper stadieums that are comming into pro sports over the next few years.

I would guess that the vast majority will say the nfl is better than the cfl, so I would expect a lot of cripeing of how poor the the performance of the game might hinge on how well the stadieum is ventalated.  lol :)

  13. I think it's a good way of introducing it to the only Canadian city that would actually embrace an NFL team. The rest of us are very passionate about our CFL teams, especially those nutters out in Regina. I still think Canadian presence in the NFL would be nice to see -- especially since Toronto by no means embraces the Argonaughts.

  14. is ganna be crazy cuz canada always wanted a football team and now we might get one

  15. NFL won't have enough support in Canada. CFL has been here for years and that's not going to change. NFL belongs in the states.
