Canadians in Abu Dhabi-UAE?

I have two kids 3 yrs and an infant ..we have been offered a job in Abu Dhabi..we don't know anything about it ,only the extreme weather and it's very expensive ,but e don't know how expensive ..what's the average salary there?

how is life there?what about the weather? is it worth trying?what about schools- ?and people?can i register my name in the embassy and still not paying taxes here in Canada?

if any one knows about the life style plz let me know..

  1. I have spent about 15 years in dubai which is the city in UAE. Abu-Dhabi is the capital..Dont worry, it isn't like any middle eastern country...Its very moderate with lot of immigrants from south asia, europe and the america. Its really beautiful and peaceful place..and the best part you dont have to pay taxes to the government..It does it extremely hot in the summers like 110 sometimes 115 degree but the good thing about it is very place is air conditioned...from homes to cars to shops..You won't feel the heat unless your outside working the fields or any manual labor...the average salary is around 180,000 dharams. they do have american schools, but not sure about any canadian schools out there

    People are really friendly and mostly as immigrants from asian countries.About 80% of the total population is made up of expats from all across the world. It really one of the few  good places to be.


  2. the life in Abudhabi in more expensive than the other emirates but if you got a contract with acomodation you will save much money.... and the avrage salry to live in Abudhabi shoulld be more than 250Us dollars

    wether here is hot due to summer and people are very nice
