Can anyone tell me what a journeyman carpenter is please? thanks

A journeyman carpenter is an experienced carpenter who has finished his apprenticeship and gets his 'papers'.  Basically its just a title of qualification meaning that the guy is experienced and knows what he is doing.

Tradesmen in countries such as Germany are required to fulfill a formal apprenticeship (usually three years) to work as a professional carpenter. Upon graduation from the apprenticeship, he or she is known as a journeyman carpenter.
