  1. Get him back to the vet so he can try something else.  Baytril may help.

Respiratory issues with birds is extremely serious.  Their lungs are tiny and even a small infection to a bird is a huge deal!

  2. sorry i don't know! Try taking him to the bird main vet!

  3. Hi Davy91

I am sorry your little bird is suffering from this condition.

There are several things you can do for your bird, first go back to the vet,and ask him for your money back, just kidding, but tell the "pro" to give you some form of antibiotic to cure the respiratory infection.Second tell the "pro" to treat the bird for MITES,with Ivermectin,or Ivomec which is the same thing or Scat ,any form of parasite treatment, because

your bird has what is known as "air sac mites".The tretment should be given twice,at 10 days intervals,to make sure all the unhatched "mite eggs",will be destroyed, and than followed by a probiotic tretment. If you do not know what that is,just dilute a table spoon of yougurt in a little water, and use that to moisten his nestling food. This is done to replenish the good intestinal flora,so your bird can absorbe all the nutrients in the food.

He should make a full recovery,if the "pro" knows what needs to be done.Mabe you can tell him/her what I said.

Best wishes for your feathered friend
