Can I cancel or stop my insurance claim that i file, but not complete. What should I said

  1. Just give your adjuster a call.

    Depending on the situation, the adjuster may be able to just note the conversation with you in the claim file and close the file down.


  2. You can ask that a claim be closed without pay  HOWEVER that wont delete the fact that the claim ever happened. Once you call in a claim that is on your record regardless of whether they paid or not.

  3. Yes you can stop it when ever you want. You don't have to give them any info if you don't want to. They can always reopen claims if what ever arrangements you make don't work out. But if you and the other party are deciding to work things out with out insurance i would recommend giving them details so they can have it on file if you do need to reopen it later
