Canceling a flight to america?

my ex boyfriends parents booked me a flight to the USA but sine we've split theres no chance I can go I was wondering can they cancel and get a full refund as they are saying they cant and I have to pay

it's their problem. Get them to sort it out.

It was a gift to you, they're just being difficult and taking sides and I dont see why you should pay.

no it has to be paid for-but if youve got cancellation insurance youll be able  top claim on that with a good enough excuse-sorry but im 99.9% sure youll have to pay if you booked it-if they booked it for you then its there problem

Well, it depends on what kind of ticket they purchased.

If they purchased a discounted ticket, they will most probably not even get half its value back in refunds. If they purchased a full fare ticket, they will get its full value back.

Either way, you will need to read the fine print or contact the airline.
