Cancer People!!! Are you close to your parents?

This question applies to people with Cancer sun or Cancer moon.

I have Cancer moon and I'm very close to my parents. My mom is my hero....:)

Hello, fellow Cancer here...

I had a very strange relationship with my parents.  I was adopted; they were in their 40's when I was born.  They were overly strict, I was overly rebellious.  That lasted well into adulthood.  I was closer to my dad than my mom--he was very funny, but tough as nails.  I was Daddy's girl, and although we never talked about anything important, and we weren't what you'd call an affectionate family, I still adored him.  When he died nine years ago, I was completely devastated.  My mother and I were never really close because we were polar opposites, but I did talk to her every day.  She died in June of this year.  I wish we could have been closer, but it's too late now.

So I guess my answer is.................sort of close.  Yikes, how lame....

when i was a kid, i was much closer to my father. i literally clinged my hands to his side pockets and im everywhere he is! only when ive reached my late teens and early twenties and till now, im closer to my mother. like telling her my secrets and everything.

comparing to some others that i know, who are closer to their best friends or siblings than their parents, i can consider myself as a somebody who is very close to my parents. i still count them in, as a huge chunk of my life deciding factors.

I read everyones answers and its funny....I get along with my dad more than my mom. Me and my dad have always shared a mutual bond. He is more into spirituality than my mom. I think that I've distance myself from my mom because she always answered my questions as a "role model" not as a person. Even to this day me being married and have a son she still thinks she needs to act that way. Its funny how a lot of people are more connected with their moms than their dads.

I am a Cancer (sun) and I am SUPER close with my parents... especially my mom.  I'm 27, and she still knows basically EVERYTHING that happens in my life.  She's my best friend.

Yes i am very close to my mom. She is the person i would say i love the most out of anyone in this world. I dont quite remeber my dad, but i would do anything for my mom, and i am happy when she is happy. i also LOVE hanging with my parents (mum and step-dad)  and i love talking to them and i know they truely want the best for me and i want the best for them. They teach me many things abbout money and cooking and deserve the respect because they are so wise.

my mother is my hero too :) she raised us alone and has had such a crazy life, which i love hearing about and she is so smart and so wise, and very compassionate and understanding. When she is unhappy i am unhappy, and i have to say, i dont want  her to get old =( (shes a piscies)

i'm a cancer sun w/ aries rising and taurus moon.

sadly, i'm actually very distant from my parents. mine are seperated, and i live with my mom.

she's a virgo w/ pisces rising. she's just very impatient with me, and feels she can always get me to do what she wants by screaming in my ear. we just end up screaming at eachother until one of us breaks something.

my dad's a scorpio on the libra cusp(oct. 22). i see alot more scorpio in him though. we get along alot better, and he always showers me with compliments, sappy remarks, and just nice things to say. he's always reminding me he's glad to be my father. but sadly, my stupidity makes me stay very distant from him too. sometiems i'll even pretend i didn't hear what he said.

i'll add that i do love them both very much, and would die where i stand right now just for them to be alive. but i just can't form an emotionally attatched relationship with them.

i find it hard to believe, and actually down right ridiculous, since i'm a family-oriented cancer. my chart posesses mostly capricorn and aries placements, so maybe my unemotional cappy traits are breaking through.

i'm a cancer sun and i'm pretty close to my parents. they were always trying to be my friend when i was growing up and acting all wild - (both capricorns). i guess i really got closer to them because my brother died in 95 and i'm their only kid left. it also helped not living with them anymore. :)

Yeah I loved my mom and still do but she passed away about 8 years ago. My mom was my world hey.

I dont really talk to my dad, we butt head a lot , to be true though, we are not even on good terms. I prefer him to stay away from me.

Hey Arch,

I have a very good relationship with my Mom. For the most part, I am very independent, but when we are together, we have a great relationship. Sure, we have our moments...But I think we have great communication and understand each other very well. She has always supported me, and will go to the end of the world for me. I wouldn't be where I am today if not for her. So, yes, I would say that we are quite close...My dad on the other hand...meh. He's just a bit too crazy for me.

Since i am a Scorpio sun and both my parents are Aries its very hard to get along when all we do is butt heads but then again i am going through my teenage years ha ha.  When i was younger my mom was my best Friend i told her everything.

she's not my role model, but I absolutely love her. her 'mothering' is all eskew for me. I would've prefered hugs and cuddles, but her love is shown by taking care of me (driving me to places, paying for music lessons, lol). ??
