Does anyone have any information about visiting and spending time with soldiers, cancer patients (children), terminally ill people (children + elderly), the homeless/needy, etc. Charities and organizations as well. In the U.S. (particularly Las Vegas, NEV.) as long as it's the United States it's good. I've already done some things out of the country and now want to do some in my home country.

  1. When visiting them, you may want to have this information:

CANCER: There's a new Swedish study which shows that human breast milk kills cancer. On the news this guy who drank human breast milk (with a prescription) beat cancer. It was discovered by Swedish scientists that human breast milk (spilled into a petri dish) kills cancer. People who drink it have had some success in fighting off cancer.

You need a prescription and it's about $3 an ounce at a breast milk bank, but it works.

See also the movie "Sicko" with Michael Moore, it's most informative.

  2. For Military, contact the local VA and see if they can help you.  Also look into the USO as they are always looking for volunteers.   you can also go to http://www.americasupportsyou.com and see if they have any links that can help you out with some ideas as well.

For cancer try the local hospitals see if they wish volunteers.  Also try Hospice as they may be as well.  Even Ronald McDonald House might be looking for help.

  3. My daughter and her friends (age 13) used to volunteer at our local hospital to sit with children that have cancer and their parents can't be in the hospital at that time. You could try a nursing home as well. Just call up your local hospital or nursing home and see what's available. You could also try sending the soldiers things though the Red Cross. Whenever I'm doing my grocery shopping I always pick-up a few extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, etc.
