  1. Do not use cancer treatment articles from newspapers or magazines, that are always incomplete and lack any substance. Go to http://www.cancer.org/docroot/home/index...

    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cancer/...

  2. I totally agree with previous answer (Matt Power), but as a journalist I found that there are areas of cancer care that seem to be neglected, such as treating side effects from hormonal drugs.  You can get a great deal of information about dealing with side effects from chemo and radiotherapy, but once that is finished, you might be given hormonal drugs (Aromasin, Tamoxifen, Arimidex, etc) to take for five years.

In Britain many doctors just don't have time to give advice - so standard suggestion is "do you want to come off the drug?:".  This means patients don't get benefits from these incredible drugs - so I have started a website to give information about helpful products that are

    a) medically approved  b) or result of surveys by cancer charities or

    c) products that have been approved for general public use by FDA or similar, and cancer patients say they help with side effects.

I am always looking for reliable, medically based articles - (but not interested in "eating X cured my cancer"!)  to mention on www.after-cancer.com
