Cancun: Has anyone been recently? What are the beaches looking like. Are they any better?

I'm trying to plan my honeymoon and I love Cancun. I would love to go there for my Honeymoon but for me I loved the beaches and since I've heard that they were ruined with Hurricane dean, I wanted to see if any one has been since and find out what the beaches are like.

The beaches are still very beautiful. Hurricane Dean did not do any damage to Cancun. The hurricane that did do damage was hurricane Wilma and that was in 2005.

Everything has been renovated or built brand new. Some of the beaches are bigger and some a bit smaller.

We were there in May 2007 and the time before was 2005 before the hurricane and I couldn't tell the difference except more new resorts. The one difference was it's more expensive to vacation there. But you will find many websites with good trip packages (air,land and transfers)
