  1. Using US money is fine if you're staying in Cancun.  They take either US $ or pesos everywhere.  (The only time we needed pesos was for the air hockey game in the hotel which took only 50 cent peso coins.)

I would suggest taking small U.S. bills ($1's, $5's, and a few $10's) because it's very likely that  you will get your change in pesos.

If you just want to deal in pesos, you can go to an ATM there in Mexico.  The ATM's will give you your cash in pesos.

  2. bills under 100 because the people do not accept  100 dollar bills, and its wiser because you take a couple hundred dollars and it converts to acouple thousand peson, and wat ever you have left over you can use in the US

  3. I would suggest pesos.....if you use dollars everyone uses the exchange rate to their advantage.

  4. listen to Jessy D. There is nothing but a disadvantage to having only dollars. Change to pesos !!!

Make sure you change back as I find nowhere in Atlanta ( banks) will exchange pesos back to dollars.

  5. No you should change US dollars into pesos. If you do take US dollars the largest bill you should take i think should be like a couple $100 dollars.
