Cancun in june,what likes the weather and how much spending money will i need??

Im going to cancun on the 5th of june for 2 weeks staying in the barcelo costa! I've noticed that june is when most of the rainfall is,should i be worried? does it rain all the time or is it maybe a hour or so each day? We are 24 hour all inclusive for food and drink so wont spend much money during the day but we will be out clubbing probably every night,how much spending money is needed? 2000 dollars? any help or advice would be much appreciated!!

The rainy/hurricane season is actually in the fall. Sometimes it will rain everyday in cancun, but maybe for about an hour midday. The air is so humid that even if you get soaked, your clothes will dry quickly. It's actually nice sometimes to be caught in the rain to cool off! Be careful with your spending at an all inclusive- it's easy not to realize how much you've spent so far! Especially if you will be going on day trips or excursions. I would say that no matter how much you bring, you can spend it all if you will be clubbing every night for two weeks. The exchange is this $10 US = $100 pesos just about. Other than clubbing, there is a fun market called Mercado 28 where you could spend hours, plus all the malls that are built for tourists, which are much more designer/expensive. I wouldn't bring a dollar less than $1000 US, but you might be running kind of tight. Just be prepared that if you bring a lot you can spend a lot, and make sure that you can afford it!

A few recommendations-- make sure you go out for happy hour! If you plan on doing any excursions, go to Xcaret- it's a park where you can do everything outdoorsy, and learn a little bit about Mayan culture. It's a bit of a drive from Cancun but usually you will go on a luxury bus. Also, if you're adventurous, go ziplining at Selvatica. You zip through the canopy, then go for a short mountain bike trek, where you end at a cenote to go swimming.

Hey, I hope you aren't planning on carrying all that money with you when you go bar hopping. I don't think you need that much money. $100 dollars a night is good. Bring dollar bills for tips. Small bills are hard to find in Cancun, even small peso bills. Check with your hotel  entertainment staff about a one price ticket into these clubs at night.

You are in the tropics, rain will come and go. Not to worry, you will have a great time. Make sure you follow the laws of Mexico and respect the locals. Mexican jails are not fun.
