When? Now? Hawai'i definitly. Cancun is shut down... but later, I would choose cancun. Mainly because after the hurricane, their economy is going to need help... and it could be your tourist dollars that makes the difference :)

well if your into partying, definately cancun... so much to do, so much to see... though wait a month or so.. I hear there's a hurricane going on... Hawaii is absolutely beautiful however its a slower pace... much more relaxed... I've been there 3 times, and not yet seen the partying i experienced in mexico... whatever part of mexico that is.

i say cancun i'm leaving on saturday and i can't wait! my aunt has been to both hawaii and cancun, and i have a friend who lives in hawaii and they said it is entirely too expensive and not enough action.  alot of culture though... if you want to party then go to cancn.  the hurricane hit the tulum area which is south of cancun.  they got some tropical winds but it is ok.

Cancun is a bang for your buck!  All inclusive packages are the way to go.  I suggest 5 star hotels only!

i have been to cancun. it is nice. if you don't speak any spanish it might be tricky. you dont have to but it helps. pick hawaii.

Hawaii, hands down. All there is to do in Cancun is hang by the beach and drink, party. In Hawaii... SO much more to do that is much more memorable. We went Kyacking, horseback riding, ATVing, on little dinner cruises, it was SO much fun and the scenery is AMAZING. It's like nothing you'll ever see. BEAUTIFUL

I'd go to Hawaii, since the hurrican is around Cancun.  I've been to Hawaii, the scenery is just awesome.  If you want to relax that is the place to go.  Lots of water activities.

Cancun just got hit by hurricane, so I would say Hawaii, until next year, then they should have cancun all fixed up and cancun is awsome for partying, hawaii is great for sightseeing.

Hawaii is over-rated and vulgarly expensive

Of course Cancun may not have much left!

Your best and more bang for your vacation buck is Orange Beach!
