Cancun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

I am going to cancun and i was wondering if anyone knew or went there before! I also need to know if people have ever been snorkling! I am a terrible swimmer and i need more info on the skark attack there! Can anyone help me!!

I went to Cancun in March this year and did a 'Jungle Tour' where we drove a speed boat (one speed boat between two people) out to a special area and did some snorkelling, I wouldn't worry about being a terrible swimmer, you have to wear a life jacket the whole time anyway. Our tour departed from the Marina Punta Del Este.

I couldn't say about shark attacks, all I know is that we didn't get attacked and that I have never heard of anyone else getting attacked either, I guess it could happen but it is probably much more likely for me to get attacked here in Australia than in Mexico!

recent shark attacks have been in the Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa area in the Pacific Ocean--that's a long way away from the caribbean and th riveria Maya.  for a great place to snorkle, go to Xel-ha. They also have snuba there, which is like a cross between snorkle and scuba (you still get your oxygen from the surface, but you can stay submerged longer).  Check out the link below.

Well I live here, but I dont know anything about a shark attack taking place here.  Enlighten me!!  Snorkeling is safe.....just do it with a tour.  There are many fun things to do here. The snorkeling tours are done in waters where it is not very deep at all.  The Isla Mujures tour is a good one.  Let me know if you need more info.  You can send me a message and I will answer any of your questions.

I've been to Cancun two times and will be going back for my 3rd this July. I am not a fan of nature though so I've never been snorkling. Good luck with that. I just go for the crazy nightlife and beautiful scenery. I won't swim in the ocean by my house because it looks dirty and is full of trash so I really enjoy Cancun's crystal clear water. Have fun....I know I will.
