Cancun vacation starting aug 19th?

Question

I'm going to try to buy a vacation from aug 19th through 26th to Cancun. my question is this: what are the odds that weather related circumstances will ruin my vacation in this particular week?

i went in aug of 05 returned the day befor katrina hit louissiana. the weather was fin while i was there. nothing was cancelled.

well back in 2004 i went to Cancun around the same dates.. I was lucky to have beautiful weather.. but every year since then..2005 til present.. there has been a hurricane that hit there every year.. I always say.. well i guess i chose a good year to go...

Not sure if u can get predictions for hurricanes that far ahead..

Unlikely.  As of now I don't believe there are any major weather systems heading for the central gulf region.  Expect low 90's for highs and mid 70's for lows.  Plenty of sunshine with daily chances of minor rain.  

PS  use plenty of sunscreen and have fun
