There are four players who are fighting it out to win this year’s Golden Boot award having scored heavily for their respective clubs.
As the 2011/12 German Bundesliga campaign is coming to a close, there are four strong candidates who could lift this term’s Golden Boot award. Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez, Schalke’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, FC Koln’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896

Gomez has been in phenomenal form so far this season and is currently the leading goal scorer in the Bundesliga. The striker had an indifferent campaign since coming back from the winter break but his four goals against Hoffenheim
on Saturday, March 10, marked his return in form.
The attacker had an outstanding spell prior to going into the winter break but found life tough on his return. He also won this award last year after scoring 28 league goals from 32 outings. With eight games remaining in the competition,
Gomez could even break his 28-goal barrier from the last season.
Gomez has not only been in sensational form in the Bundesliga but also at the European stage where he has 11 goals under his belt until now from nine appearances. His best performance came in Bayern’s last UEFA Champions League
