Candies Yams?

I need a good really "southern" recipe for candies yams. Not with marshmellows and made on the stove (like my Aunt makes it) but I really cant ask for her recipes cause you know older black folk dont have measurements for things they've made all there lives. lol

I bake mine but here goes

Take about 4 good size yams (sweet potatoes) and boil them with their skins on until tender but not overcooked (about 15 minutes).

Cool and peel the yams.  

Slice yams lengthwise  in half and slice each half in half.  

Place yams in a oven safe dish and dot evenly with 1/2 stick butter.  

Sprinkle with 2/3 cup brown sugar

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of lemon juice evenly  over yams

Bake in oven (preheated to 350f) until brown sugar has caramelized (about 30 minutes)
