I accidently knocked over a melted candle and there is driend wax on the carpet...and I mean a lot of it. I tried the iron and paper bag but there is still some wax on the carpet. Is there anything else I can do besides putting ice on it or buying a product to remove it?

  1. Here are two excellent sites with advice on this subject.

Both appear to use the same method but note there is a difference in how to remove if the wax is highly coloured

    Good luck

  2. Put ice on it and then chip it away with your finger nail, it should come out.

  3. Apply isopropyl rubbing alcohol to the stain and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes.

Then, take a scrub brush and brush the stain with it. You will want to rinse this with warm water afterwards.

I read this somewhere, but I don't know if it works

  4. Try this hint from Heloise....

  5. Don't do the ice cube thing, don't do the iron with paper.  These are all bad ideas.

go with this, it's worked for us many, many times
