Candy Theme Party!?

I'm having a Candy themed sweet 16 (sweets, sugar, candy, chocolate, & bright colors) and I need ideas for decorating! Mainly outside though. What might help: there's two ponds and a bunch of land where I'm having it. We're renting tents, tables, chairs, etc. I just need some fun, new ideas for decorations! Thanks.

  1. You could make fake suckers out of circular Styrofoam and put them on sticks, then wrap colorful plastic papers over the circles and tie a string around them.  Hopefully I explained that well enough for you to visualize.  You could also do centerpieces with big glass bowls filled with skittles or m&ms, maybe with those huge colorful lollipops sticking out of the top.  Hmmm, that's what comes to mind at the moment.  Hope that helped.  Really sounds like a cute idea for a party!  Have fun!

  2. sorry i dont have any ideas... but that sounds like a really great theme! have fun! <3

  3. go willy wonka!  think bright lights, everything draped in the gauzy stuff (gossamer) they use for prom in different colors, the big 60's daisies.

fill large, clear vases w/ candies - go for really colorful ones wrapped in clear paper.  check out dylanscandybar.com for retro and different candy.  or orientaltrading.com - they have the best prices for bulk candy.

use tall, skinny bud vases and fill w/ the long sticked, fancy suckers (oriental trading, again).  anchor in place in the vase w/ cordinating jelly bellys.  they have their own website, too, where you can order custom flavor mixes to match your party.

check, too, in some of these sources to see what kind of neat stuff they have left over from valentine's day.  sometimes you see candy cut outs and stuff then.

  4. spray trash bags silver and put a paper banner coming out of the top that says hershey's and you can have kisses spread out in various places. Also get circle foam cutouts (available at all craft stores) wrap in colored cello paper and put on a stick and you have lolipops to put anywhere!  Sounds fun!!! good luck!

  5. Do a Candy Land theme.  Decorate the area like the Candy Land game.  Maybe you could find some huge colorful gum drops to float in the ponds.  Also make some huge lollipops to stick around in the yard.  Have candy hanging from the ceiling and make sure that tables are covered with candy.  It sounds like a wonderful ides.  I hope it turns out wonderful.  Have fun!!!

  6. in the middle of all the tables you could have vases filled with bright coloured candies (ie smarties, m&m's, jelly beans, etc.) If you party is at night you could put up like christmas lights that are really colourful (wrap them around trees or bushes)

    ummm...

you could play lollipop (by mika) and candy shop (50 cent) and I want candy (little bow wow i think...)

I you could find like and m&m shapped pinata that would be cool (especially since there's candy inside, lol)

thats all i can think of, have fun

  7. on th tables outside put chocolate kisses or any wrapped candy in a little piece of cute cloth and tie it shut with ribbon. then on the house color some pics of candy and tape them on the house or you can tape/glue candies to the house or paper and put that on the house. and then have a chocolat efountian on the tables. on the ground you should put up some lollypops in the ground. i would not do all these ideas at once else it might look to much for younger kids or might look to crowded/cluttered good luck
