  1. Well....won't we need to know the size of the bags before we can all jump all over your questions......jesus people!!

  2. Take the number of ounces of chocolate in your bag and divide it by the number of ounces that your mold holds.

(If you are using metrics, then you will need to use grams instead of ounces)

So if you have a 10 ounce bag of chocolate and a 1 ounce mold 10/1 will give you ten lollipops.  Since you needs 100 lollipops you will 10 bags of chocolate (10 pops per bag)

    Math is a wonderful thing . . .

  3. I depends on how big the molds are. If they are say maybe the size of a silver dollar you'll probably need about 15 or so. It's ok if you buy too many; as long as the unused ones aren't open you can return them to the store. It's better to have too much than not enough. :)

Added: I've used the Wilton candy melts before and didn't need to add any sugar at all. Something else that's fun to do with them; skewer a couple of jumbo marshmallows onto a wooden skewer and dip them in the chocolate and add sprinkles. They're tasty and really cute!

  4. The melting chocolate you are writing of is usually what is called baker's chocolate. Baker's chocolate doesn't have any of the sugar added to it, it is simply everything else that goes into chocolate. So once the chocolate is melted then you'll still need to add sugar, which will add to the overall amount and weight of the chocolate. Figure about a cup of sugar to every four cups of melted chocolate.

The lollipops are usually about 1 ounce apiece. So figure about 80 ounces of the melting chocolate and 20 ounces of sugar. Or 5 pounds of the melting chocolate and 1 1/4 pounds of sugar.
