I think I have a canker sore and it hurts really bad

it's been like a week already, my mom says it

because i eat too much spicy food. & To drink

water and it'll go away. I put salt directly on it and

gargled it with water and it's really really pain.

Now I have a clear bubble in my mouth.

Does this mean i have cancer or something

bad ?

  1. No it doesn't mean you have cancer. I suspect that putting salt directly on it was a mistake. What you could do is make up a salt solution and swish that around your mouth every couple of hours.

Steriol is a good product. It's an antibacterial mouthwash. It doesn't taste particularly good, but it works very well.

Another option is alum. If you have a little chunk of alum (your father may use it to stop bleeding if he cuts himself while shaving or you may have seen it used as a "crystal deodorant"), you could put it on the sore. Just hold it there with your fingers or tweezers. It'll cauterize the top layer of bacteria-laden skin. Don't let it touch your tongue - it tastes simply terrible.

  2. you might have what is called "thrush" disease-it's not serious but very painful--if so the inside of your mouth will have white or clear spots and when you open your mouth it feels like the inside of your mouth is tearing---if so check with a drugstore-there are lozenges that will numb it--call your doc-ask for his nurse and get info--that way no office visit.

  3. no you don't have cancer and I don't have good car insurance. but you could get vitamin e capsules, cut and squeeze it on the sore. I would gargle salt water. It will go away no matter what but this will make the process go faster. Eat yogurt too lots of yogurt. Yogurt helps.
