Canker sores........?

Question

well i got one, and they sting so much.. do those "canker covers" really work, or what is the best way to treat them?

oh and just wondering...what exactly is the white stuff...to protect the wound?

try a 'numbing' formula. i have braces so when the brackets rub against my lip i get them alot... so i use some about every hour untill they go away.... or you could get some salt and put it directly on the sore.
