Question:

Cannabis leaf/print on clothing in France/Paris illegal?

I was recently informed by someone residing in Luxembourg that the wearing of the cannabis leaf symbol, as often displayed on clothing or garments in modern fashion, has been made illegal in Paris, or perhaps France? I couldn't believe this.

Is there any truth to this at all?

Thank you!

  1. No I don't think so...

Officially only the production, ownship, use, sale of cannabis are  illegal here. I've seen this kind of tee shirt on store shelves recently

But if you have a big smile and a "Cannabis leaf" tee shirt in France, you can have some problems with the cops for an ID check or drug tests... they aren't really cool and tolerant with this kind of things and for most of them, have a very special sense of humor...

  2. only at school for children or students but anyone could wear it in the street

  3. Yes it's true.

    ref : http://www.drogues.gouv.fr/article5301.h...

Il est interdit d’inciter à la consommation,  >>>>>

ne serait-ce qu’en portant un tee-shirt où figure une feuille de cannabis. <<<<

sorry I will have some problem to make an exact translation but it's something like "it's forbidden to wear a tee-shirt with a cannabis picture"

  4. The law is the same in Paris and in the rest of France.

And, no these prints are not forbiden.

  5. Don't worry, you still have the recourse to wear tee-shirts with a picture of Che Guevera on it.

It's all the craze over there!
