Should cannabis be upgraded so as to discourage young people from using it?

I doubt it will have much effect. I think it needs more of a campaign that shows what long term abuse of the stuff does to people,.

it's a no win situation the more the law is against it the more they'll want and even if it was legalised they'd still want more

I am for the death penalty for [parking violations so I feel use of cannabis or anything else should be a mandantory 20 at hard labor for even simple possession....this would discourage the recreational use

You think that will work? I dont think raising its class is going to do anything, take the legal age to drink for example, yet underage drinking is still happening, putting a warning label on something doesnt help unless the person(s) are really all to interested in paying attention to them, well at least thats my thoughts on it, but you dont know till you try.....

Cannabis should be controlled by taxation.We already see our kids paying enormous sums for it.Paying the government should put the fear of death on it for sure.

A complete waste of time. Make it legal (18s) Tax it, have it regulated, then make it undesirable with the younger generation using celebrities. It wont stop miss-use but seems to me its alot safer than the binge drinking youth of today...

That won't discourage jack shite man. It WILL ENcourage me to get busy though !! Get real UK. You have a government of one old f**t after another. absolutely not.  upgrading it means that every other individual will be even more unfairly punished for smoking something that they should have every right to smoke in their own homes.  upgrading the charge doesn't have anything to do with discouraging young people.  "young people" under 18 aren't even in the same judiciary class because they are minors.
