Recently heard that in historic times, the "tender" meat of a young child was delicacy to many nobles and children were often slaughtered and roasted for their meat centuries ago (http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?t=200332),AND)
Someone please tell me
1. In which time periods did this occur
2. What was the event, was it a "special" ceremony in which the child was sacrificed as a "cultural" event, was it because the taste of the child meat was "that good" or was it just because people wanted to survive and they were hungry (which, unfortunately, is occurring even as I write this question in North Korea: http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php/cannibalism-rampant-north-korea-73229.html),)
Thanks!
