Cannon GL2 Auto Off?

Question

I recent;y picked up a Cannon GL2 camera. Love It! There is only one problem, when i a about 5-7 mins into using the camera it beeps and gives me a message that says "Auto Off" This has hapened both on a battery pack and plugged into the adapter into the wall. What do i do?

Read your manual. It should be doing this auto stop when you are in standby mode only (power on, but not recording).

Page 36. This feature is doing two things for you - saving power and saving the video heads. Pretty much all camcorders do this.

If this power-down happening when you are recording, then there is something wrong with the camcorder and repair by a qualified technician is likely required.
