  1. I have read an article regarding Quidco. So I am writing from what I sensed from their business model. Quidco keeps track of all your purchase re-directed via their website using a cookie (third party) connected to the retailers website. When the retailer acknowledges the sale completed to Quidco, Quidco honours you by giving some points(or cash !) - only if you still keep the cookie in your computer. Quidco gets a referral commision from the retailer, and they pass a part of it by giving you points(cash) , also by charging you a yearly admin fee.

If the cookie is deleted in the mean time, their tracking is lost - so you may not get the benefits. You have to read the terms and conditions with magnifier and get a degree in Internet explorer traffic handling, cookie handling and referral commissions payouts to understand this fully.

In my view, this isn't a sustainable business model anyway - . Since you are giving explicit permission to the Quidco - your computer will become their tracking factory of your online activities via their affiliate companies using the cookies that details your online behaviour. This is a serious online breach of privacy in my view - but hey, you have signed upto it.
