Question:

Cannot boot my system...?

When I try to boot my system the green light in cpu comes up for some time and goes off automatically, after it shows boot from cd...

Is it the problem with RAM or Processor or SMPS or something else ?

  1. Sounds like a Harddrive problem..

    start the system and keep pressing F2, it will take u to BIOS screen.

    Go to BIOS menu with right arrow key and select Boot From Hard Disk as primary boot device and Boot From CD as secondry boot device with the + button and leave the rest setting as it was. Save it by F10 and press Enter and exit. Restart the system it will work properly.

    If above setting does not work, then I am sorry dear, your operating system is corrupted. You need to install any of the operating system of your choice like..Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista etc.

  3. If it jsut sits at boot from cd it could be trying to find a harddrive to boot from. Check your bios and see if it's detecting the harddrive.

    To the post above. If you do that it will try to boot from a cd, which may or may not be in the drive.

  5. First you want to chek the power cables inside Cpu open the cover of cpu and chek the cables both the hard disk /cd rom detached the RAMs and ATTAched ON the cpu IF the problem countines Then you go to THE BIOS setup told by Mr GOPAL  

  6. Sure your OS got some serious problem ... Format the system and reinstall xp...
