Cannot connect my phone to my laptop.

Question

i downloaded all the programs onto my laptop that came on the cd.. then when i connected my fone.. it said it was sucesfully been installed. but wen i open up my media centre it says my fone is not connected and wen i openup my computer folder.. i cant see it under devices.
