Cannot detect warcraft lan host?

i have set my network on windows xp i have a hub then one laptop and 1 desktop i can transer files on both computer thru lan but when i created DOTA on the local area network it cannot find both computer

Make sure you do not block access in your FIREWALL's!

Typically World of Warcraft uses port 3724...

DOTA uses port 6112 (I think)...

You can either open those ports in the firewall, or temporarily turn off all firewalls while playing... BUT... don't forget to turn back on when finished!
