Getting Error:

"An unexpected error occurred while trying to log in. Please try again"

.I successfully migrated both my laptops from Music Match to Yahoo Music Jukebox. But all the songs that were listed in MM migrated over as individual playlists - 100's of them. I had to delete them one at a time on one pc (there was no multi-select delete option in YM for playlists). On the other pc, I uninstalled YM, removed the songs from MM and then re-installed YM.

After reinstalling, I got this log in error, over and over. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, running virus, registry cleaners, etc in between. MM worked fine (until it got retired on Aug 31) but YM still won't work on that one laptop.

I asked the YM migration team for help and got a useless form letter response back. I wrote again and got NO RESPONSE. This is the laptop that I like to use for the house music, as it is my personal one. The one YM works on is my work pc.

Arrrghh! I am ready to go with Rhapsody.

  1. I suspect you have a corrupted YMJ database.  If your "only" objective is to get YMJ working again on that CPU, try deleting the folder Yahoo under \Documents and Settings\XP logonid\Local Settings\Application Data\.  Warning: All your playlists and some radio stuff will be gone!  If you still can't logon, uninstall YMJ, delete the above folder and also delete the folder Yahoo under \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data.
