Cannot properly reset skyscan atomic clock

Question

after replacing batteries, reset clock. After a while it automatically reset to a different time zone (one TZ to the east). clock has 4 buttons on back labeled "set" "+" "alm" and "snz" how do I get the clock to stay on my time zone?
