I sent a message with the following header:

From: "Byon Garrabrant" <byonx@byonics.com>

To: lvbots@yahoogroups.com

Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 10:45:00 -0800

Subject: Re: [lvbots] Sensor Data From ROD the Robot

and received the following from yahoogroups:

We are unable to deliver the message from <byonbotx@gmail.com> to <lvbots@yahoogroups.com>.

The email address used to send your message is not subscribed to this group. If you are a member of this group, please be aware that you may only send messages to this group using the email address(es) you have registered with Yahoo! Groups.

When I click on Edit Membership at yahoogroups, I see both addresses are there:

Email Address

Choose the email address that you would like group messages sent to.

* byonx@byonics.com

* byonbotx@gmail.com

[ others removed ]

* (Add new email address)

Any idea why I cannot post from gmail?

 1. You can only send an e-mail posting to a Yahoo Group from the one e-mail address that is associated with the Group. In other words, the e-mail address that Group messages are sent to is the only one you can post a message from. If you want to send a message to the Group from your Gmail account, then you're going to have to change that selection on the Edit Membership page to your Gmail address, followed by clicking Save Changes (towards the lower-right-hand corner).
