Cannot transfer limewire songs onto itunes?

hi, hope someone can help. I need to transfer my folder of songs (downloaded from limewire) onto itunes. When i try to do this itunes says that my limewire folder is not compatible with that version of i tunes (dont know what version it is offhand). Anyone know what version of i tunes i need to succesfully transfer the folder, or, if it can be done atall, thanks for any response

First, try downloading the latest version of iTunes.  The latest version is always available on apple's website for free.

Then, check what format your limewire songs are (probably MP3, which should work fine)

Next, try finding your iTunes music folder.  Select all of your limewire songs in your limewire folder and copy them to your iTunes music folder.  (iTunes should do this for you anyway, if you have the option selected in preferences, but it's worth trying yourself)

Then drag the files from the iTunes folder into iTunes under your library.

Hope this makes it work.

1. Highlight everything in that folder

2. Drag them into your iTunes library

Just go on apple.com and download the newest version of itunes. The go to file, click import, ad the click on the file you want.
