Canny Carlin hot favourite for BAGS/SIS 500 Final
Canny Carlin has been rated as hot favourite for the BAGS/SIS 500 Final at Newcastle in England on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £500.
The Grade A2 event is scheduled to start at 13:12 GMT and the overall distance to cover will be 480 metres. A total of six quality runners have lined up for action in the race and their names are as follows: Canny Carlin, Ultra Suzi Star, Parknahown Bella,
Ultra Bess Tune, Lil Lark and Adamant Maldini.
Looking at the impressive form of Canny Carlin, the bookmakers have awarded him with excellent odds. He is expected to dominate the proceedings today, thus the punters will also be looking forward to place a lot of bets in his favour.
The P. Rutherford’s trained runner has been running quite regularly at Newcastle and he has enjoyed a lot of success at this venue. If he gets a trouble free race, he will not let anyone else come closer.
The brindle dog took a comfortable victory in his most recent race, which shows the kind of form he is in at the moment. He was rated as a joint favourite back then and dominated proceedings right from the start. He was quickly out of the blocks and soon
created a clear gap from the rest of the pack, winning by three and a half lengths in the end.
A similar run would ensure Canny Carlin another victory today. He is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Canny Keepsake and was born in June 2010.
On the other hand, Ultra Suzi Star also seems to be in good touch at the moment, which suggests that she will cause a few problems for her opponents in the race. She is carrying terrific momentum at the moment, as she was victorious in her most recent run
at Newcastle.
The P. Rutherford’s trainee has got very good speed and stamina, thus she will attract some bets in her favour today. She is the daughter of Daves Mentor out of Swift Silver and was born in November 2009.
The other runners might not be able to fight for victory in the race, as the top two favourites are in dominant form.
