The two-year-old Canny Carlin is leading the contestants for the Grade A1 William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes on Tuesday, 22nd May. The race will be held over 480 metres flat at Newcastle while the winner among the six contestants will be awarded with
£118.
The rest of the candidates participating are Pond Alesha, Skywalker Satin, Elwick Joaquin, Droopys Mahers and Gracefayeluke.
Ballymac Maeve’s two-year-old brindle son out of b***h, Canny Keepsake, started off the season with ending fifth in the Grade A1 Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com on 4th January at Newcastle over 480 metres.
He remained winless for the next nine races and then once and for all struck a hat trick. The hat trick had no training sessions prior to it.
The initial leg of the hat trick was on 18th April at Newcastle over 480 metres. He completed the trip in 29.40 seconds and led the runner up, Ultra Bess Tune, by two and a half lengths.
Canny Carlin then won the Grade HP Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.Com on 28th April at Newcastle over 480 metres. He timed the track distance in 29.71 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Run For Glory, by one and a half lengths.
The 2/1 favourite of the race, Centaur Korker, ended fourth.
He monopolised the third and final leg of the hat trick on 2nd May at Newcastle over 480 metres by reaching the other end of the wire in 29.18 seconds. The 5/2 joint favourite winner had three and a half lengths under his charge.
Finishing the closest to the winner was Adamant Maldini who timed the track distance in 29.46 seconds.
The other joint favourite, Kingsmill Move, ended third.
He raced thrice after the hat trick, scoring second in two and winning the race that fell in between the two.
Canny Carlin won the Grade A2 Williamhill.Com Stakes on 12th May at Newcastle over 480 metres by making it to the other end of the wire in 29.39 seconds. The 5/4 favourite winner of the race led the runner up, Cee Bee, by four lengths.
He did fail in winning the most recent race but a second position is decent enough. He has the highest of the chances to leave an impact tonight.
