  1. Buffalo River (Tn).  It's awesome

  2. thecnaly it's a river but is called loch ken (loch=lake).

it's good coz there is a cool slide to go down on them and there is a nice sandy beach there

  3. In a canoe, my all time favorite is probably the Wisconsin River - the lower 100 miles of it, connecting to the mighty Mississippi.  It's a slow moving, mellow river with a sandy floor, lots of sand bars.  Nothing technical at all, but it's my favorite because I've done so many trips with friends where we've had 20 canoes and kayaks, and gone camping for a few days at a time.

My other favorite is the Colorado River, below Hoover Dam (near Vegas).  The river flows through "Black Canyon" and the scenery is gorgeous, there are big horn sheep, rattlesnakes, tarantulas and all kinds of interesting wildlife.

Last, but not least, the Current River in Missouri.  I grew up floating that river with my family, and I'm looking forward to going back there.  Gorgeous water, beautiful landscape.

A good friend told me once before, "time floating on a river in a canoe actually adds years to your life."  It's such a meditative activity (if you're not with party animals, that is), we refer to it as "river therapy."

  4. I don't really do canoing, I do kayaking most of the time. But every place i've been to for both is mostly every place i've been to because they're all awsome.
