I have a Canon A570 IS and love it. The only thing is, when I try to use settings to take say fireworks (Manual mode, proper iso, apature, no shutter, etc) all I get is a black or blank view finder, and when i take a photo, it's black or blank. Now If I were to put the flash back on with the same settings, it works fine. am I missing something? Any suggestions? I would really like to get some great shot of the fireworks tomorrow...Thanks in advance for the help!

  1. Flash will not help with fireworks.  When you've been using those settings, what have you been shooting?  And what do you mean by "no shutter"?  You do need to use your shutter, on a longer than normal time.  Too short and nothing will show up.  Set your shutter for a few seconds, or bulb and hold it down for the duration of the blast.
