Canon BJC-1000 printer

Question

my printer was working fine until the ink ran out. refilled the ink and now it won't print. It says error to LPT1 problem sending doc to the printer. In the screen where it says capture printer port then type in network path , the box for network path is empty. What is the network path and is this the problem?
