Canon Camcorder MV6i MC

Question

I have a canon MV6i mc camcorder which when I turn it on it tells me condensation has been detected even though it has never been outside the house or near any sources of moisture!! - Before this happened I kept getting the remove the cassette warning which was fixed by Canon uncer warranty and then a few recording hours later developed the same fault. I now have a bbay and am considering weather to pursue fixing this unit or just bin it and buy another more reliable make of camera?? - Appreciate your assistance??
