i have canon DC 220 and i edit using Pinnacle plus . While in camcorder and Pinnacle, the quality looks nice... but the result when transferred to DVD or uploaded in websites is horrible!!

What do i need to do to get a decent picture on DVD and websites?

  1. I think you need to choose right FPS and Bitrate.

And choose a directly burner to transfer onto DVD. Any conversion would lead to lose quality.

Of cause, you have to choose right FPS and Bitrate too, when you burn to DVD.

Take a look at this guide:

And you can search for more info about video settings on http://answers.yahoo.com

  2. The DC220 is a a DVD camcorder, so it records in MPEG-2.  MPEG-2 is a poor format for editing as it's very lossy.  Try using Womble to edit your videos - it's designed specifically to handle that format.
