Question:

Canon Digital Camera?

I recently bought the Canon Ixus 80 IS, cuz I wanted an upgrade from my Nikon which has only 5 mgp, as compared to canon's 8 mgp.

However, after developing the pictures I took on the Canon and comparing it to the Nikon, the photos look really blur and the Nikon's is really sharp!

Why is this? Is it possible that I get a refund or something??

Thx

  1. Nothings Wrong With The Camera...

When you first get the camera, all of the settings are on normal, including the image quality, and perhaps the size.

When you first get a canon camera, usually, it's set to an image quality of ' normal ', which isn't that good, you have to change it to ' fine'. just go into ' functions ' and you should see it there with the image size, which you need to change to large as well.

You can't print a ' small ' picture, it'll come out blurry as you suggested, and you won't be satisfied with it :). However, you can print a ' large ' picture to any size, but they take up more space on the memory card.

You don't need a refund, you just have to adjust the settings. You can't just can't a new camera, and expect it to work perfectly :P

  2. I suggest you re-read the manual.

I have 4 canons and they are all excellent.
