Canon ELURA 100, How to capture video to computer without DV cable?

Okay, I have a Canon ELURA 100 and I lost the DV cable and I only have USB cables. It fits but wont work with windows movie maker, is there a way I could capture the video onto my computer without using a DV cable. If there is, plz explain?

  1. Only a DV cable - i.Link, FireWire400, IEEE1394a - will work. USB will not work.

    The other method would be to use the AV cables that came in the box with the camcorder and us an analog/digital bridge like those from Pinnacle

    But a Firewire cable will provide superior video quality (transferring digitally rather than analog) and will be a LOT cheaper
