Canon HV20 Camcorder Question?

Hello,

I am looking for a camcorder which i can take to public places (Day & night) to film exclusive good quality footage.

i came accross the Canon HV20 (thx Bill) and I am very intereste in it. While reading rewievs about this product online i found out that this camera doesn't act well in the dark.

I plan on making footage of some night markets or bazars which will have very much artificial light. My big concern is that this Camcorder won't be able to take clear footage.

What do you think? Will the HV20 be enough to film at a rather bright, colorful place in the dark or should i get another one?

thanks

  1. The Canon HV20 is a consumer grade camcorder. If you need really good low-light performance, the best "affordable" camera to do that is the Canon XHA1.

There are cameras that may be able to do a better job, but they are many thousands of dollars more and are not consumer camcorders.
